Application Process

The MetroHealth Occupational Therapy Hand Therapy Fellowship Program requirements are as follows:

  • Complete Fellowship Application
  • Career Statement
  • Two letters of recommendation, with one being from an immediate supervisor or previous fieldwork supervisor.
  • Résumé
  • Continuing education certificates of completion (recommended but not required)

To be eligible for the MetroHealth Occupational Therapy Hand Therapy Fellowship Program, you must comply with MetroHealth employment requirements, which may include criminal background check, pre-employment drug screening, vaccinations etc., and attending MetroHealth employment orientation prior to start date.

Selection Process

The Fellowship Committee will accept applications from October 1 – December 31.  Beginning in January, the committee will review applications and select candidates to proceed to the interview phase.  In February, potential candidates will be interviewed virtually or in person depending on the availability of the fellow or committee members.  The Fellowship Coordinator will notify interviewed applicants of acceptance or rejection via mail by April 1st. Our fellowship program is scheduled to commence on July 1.

Additional Fees

There are no additional fees for submitting an application.

Forms of Compensation

The fellow will be hired as a full-time employee of MetroHealth. The term of employment will be 12 months. Fellow will be a salaried employee and eligible for all full-time benefits. Salary will be adjusted to 75% of normal starting salary for entry level position.
