Program Requirements

Eligibility requirements for The MetroHealth Occupational Therapy Hand Therapy Fellowship Program are as follows:

Graduate of an occupational therapy educational program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
Licensed occupational therapy provider by the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Trainers Board.
Certified Occupational Therapy provider with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Completed one year of post-secondary work experience as a licensed occupational therapy provider.
Maintains membership with the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) prior to and throughout the fellowship program.
Must be able to travel to multiple locations where occupational therapy services are provided.
Possess current BLS certification prior to and throughout fellowship program.
Obtains influenza shot required which is required annually per MetroHealth employment policy.
Interacts effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
