How do I make an appointment for myself or my child?

If you are 18 or older, and looking for LGBTQ+ primary care, or interested in discussing medical care for gender affirmation, call 216-957-4905.

If you are under 18, and looking for LGBTQ+ primary care, call 216-957-4905.

If you are under 18, and interested in care specific to gender affirmation, call our behavorial health team 216-778-8564. You will begin with a psychologist.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Bring in all of the medications you are currently taking (prescription, over the counter, herbal, supplements), previous immunization / shot records, and the names of any physicians you have seen in the past.

Can I get an STI test at the MetroHealth Pride Network?

Yes. We do full STI testing in the clinic.

Can I get HIV prevention (PrEP or PEP) at the Pride Network?

Yes. Our providers are trained for both PrEP (pre-exposure prevention of HIV), and PEP (post exposure prevention of HIV).

Where can I see a Pride Network doctor?

Our providers currently work out of Rocky River, Cleveland Heights, Brecksvillle, Broadway, Middleburg Heights, and the LGBT Center in Gordon Square.

If you are already HIV positive, several of our adult PRIDE physicians have HIV practices at main campus MetroHealth to serve you.

Does the Pride Network offer health services for LGBTQI+ seniors?

Yes. Our providers are trained, and experienced, in taking care of the health needs of LGBTQ+ seniors.

What does LGBTQI+ stand for?

LGBTQI+ is an abbreviation of identities that fall under sexual orientation or gender identity.

  • Lesbian: describes a person who identifies as a woman and is romantically and physically attracted to other women.
  • Gay: describes a person who identifies as a man and is romantically and physically attracted to other men.
  • Bisexual: describes a person who is romantically and physically attracted to more than one specific gender.
  • Transgender: describes a person whose gender identity and/or gender expression is different than the one they were assigned at birth.
  • Queer: describes a person whose gender identity and/or sexual orientation is something other than cisgender or straight.
  • Intersex: describes a person whose biological sex characteristics are not exclusively male or female.
  • Plus sign (+): The plus sign at the end of LGBTQI+ represents all other identities and orientations on the gender and sexuality spectrum.
