MetroHealth's Child Life and Education program offers a diverse experience in various areas during the year for Child Life students.

Child Life Career Exploration Sessions

Come to an informational presentation and tour to find out what child life is all about. Presentation includes role of the certified child life specialist, areas they work, and the steps necessary to pursue a career in the field of child life.

Offered 3 times per year in Northeast Ohio. Students and families are welcome to attend.

Registration is required.

Practicum Program

Practicums are offered one time a year during the summer for students who are enrolled in a university affiliated program with a concentration in Child Life.

Internship Program 

Internships are offered two times a year for students who have completed a Child Life supervised practicum:

• Winter/Spring Session: January through April
• Fall Session: August/September through December
