  • Bone densitometry dual-energy x-ray absorption (DEXA) scanner

Nonsurgical Treatments

Not every injury requires surgery. MetroHealth pediatric orthopaedics team also provides excellent nonsurgical treatment of many pediatric conditions, such as:

  • Athletic injuries;
    • wrist
    • elbow
    • shoulder
    • knee
    • ankle
  • Flexible flat feet
  • Fracture care
  • In-toeing and out-toeing

Emergency Services and Follow Up

If your child has a fracture, tear, sports injury, or an accident that requires a trip to a MetroHealth Emergency Department, you can see MetroHealth’s pediatric orthopaedics team for follow-up care within 24-48 hours for a definitive treatment plan.

Trauma and Rehabilitation

We are a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and our orthopaedic surgeons are experts in acute fracture care. We also provide physical therapy services specialized for children to help restore their function and quality of life.
