Rita Horwitz is the President and CEO of Better Health Partnership, a regional health improvement collaborative located in Northeast Ohio. She is responsible for leading the strategic direction, programmatic activities, and financial sustainability strategies of the organization. She joined BHP in 2011 as its Director of Business Development and later became the Chief Operating Officer – growing the collaborative’s clinical members and community partners, representing all populations from twinkle to wrinkle, across multiple counties. A graduate of The Ohio State University’s School of Nursing, and Case Western Reserve University’s Health Care Executive Management program, Rita has extensive health care management and business venture experience in private and public sectors. She serves on the Leadership Team of the National Network for Regional Healthcare Improvement, the Board of Directors for Carmella Rose Health Foundation, United Way’s Community Advisory Board, United Health Care’s Community Advisory Board, the leadership teams of Cuyahoga County’s Health Improvement Partnership(hip-Cuyahoga), First Year Cleveland’s infant mortality coalition, the Say Yes to Education Policy Task Force, and the Lead Safe Cleveland Coalition. In 2018, she received recognition in Crain’s Cleveland Business, as one of Northeast Ohio’s most note-able women in health care and is a graduate of Leadership Cleveland’s class of 2019.
