SUMMARY

Dr. Ho is an Acute Care Surgeon in the Department of Surgery and Division of Trauma, Critical Care, Emergency General Surgery, and Burns at the MetroHealth System and Population and Quantitative Health Sciences. With clinical expertise in Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, and Emergency General Surgery, she serves as the Director of Trauma Research at The MetroHealth System and as core faculty of the MetroHealth and Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) Center for Health Equity, Engagement, Education, and Research (CHEEER) within the Population Health and Equity Research Institute (PHERI). Dr. Ho completed the KL2 Scholar Career Development program through the CWRU Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative (CTSC) and obtained a PhD in Clinical and Translational Science. With more than 100 publications, Dr. Ho's health services research focuses on improving long-term person-centered outcomes after emergency surgical conditions and advancing health equity in emergency surgical care. Recently, as the Chair of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee at the Coalition for National Trauma Research, Dr. Ho led the effort to bring together national experts for a 2-day Summit for the Advancement of Focused Equity Research in Trauma (SAFER-Trauma), supported by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
