SUMMARY

Dr. Bar-Shain is an ambulatory pediatrician who is board certified in Pediatrics and Clinical Informatics, and holds additional certifications from the Epic Systems Corporation in EpicCare Ambulatory and Chronicles Database Programming. He is a nationally known EHR expert with expertise in pediatric and adult immunizations, patient entered data, and recognition of high blood pressure measurements. Dr. Bar-Shain serves as faculty within the Center for Clinical Informatics Research and Education. His professional and research interests lie in the areas of clinical decision support and population health. He has worked on a wide variety informatics successes include implementing a custom Prenatal Care Registry, standing up a collaborative-care depression screening model in the HIV clinic, and providing decision support to providers in the clinical trenches about whether to bill new vs. established, and about how to bill appropriately in telehealth visits.
