Care Companion: A user friendly, interactive and personalized plan of care

The Pregnancy Care Companion is a user friendly, interactive and personalized plan of care that is delivered right to you in your MyChart account.

The Pregnancy Care Companion allows you to learn about your pregnancy, provide information to your provider, and send any questions to your care team. You can also do everything you did in MyChart before, like scheduling appointments, looking at your test results, and sending messages.

Your MetroHealth provider will sign you up. If you have already seen your OB provider for this pregnancy, you can enroll yourself by logging into MyChart and checking your feed for the card shown below and clicking Let’s go.

If your provider feels like you would benefit from home blood pressure monitoring you may also receive a free blood pressure monitoring kit, which includes a wireless blood-pressure cuff to use at home. Our team monitors these blood pressures 24/7 and can reach out to you if there is an emergency.

If you have diabetes, your provider may enable regular blood sugar checks in MyChart where you can directly write your blood sugar measurements for them to review. This will help your provider keep you and your baby healthy.
