The MetroHealth Internship Program is a 9 to 10 week, full-time, paid internship program that offers students meaningful and immersive learning experiences and mentorship opportunities.
These internship opportunities are non-clinical.
Students will have the opportunity to gain healthcare management experience at one of the largest, most innovative public health systems. Interns work in a variety of hospital operational areas to support exciting system projects, these include: Hospital Operations, Strategy, Population Health, Finance, Ambulatory Operations, Administrative Nursing, Information Services, Human Resources, Behavioral Health, and the Office of Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity.
This internship program is an exceptional opportunity to engage with healthcare leaders through targeted project work, mentoring, alumni engagement and networking with MetroHealth employees, professional development, and shadowing opportunities.
This competitive internship program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of degree programs. Students from local and national universities are welcome to apply. Although this program is set during the summer, there are opportunities for extended internships during the school year and following summers at the discretion of the hiring department. Compensation is based on a pre-determined hourly rate. The internship may be on-site, remote, or hybrid.
