- Pulmonary Lung Cancer Conference
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer mortality among both sexes in the United States. The presence of health care inequities within lung cancer screening, diagnosis and management has been an area of great research and interest.
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer mortality among both sexes in the United States. The presence of health care inequities within lung cancer screening, diagnosis and management has been an area of great research and interest. In its "State of Lung Cancer" report, the American Lung Association recognized that non-white American patients diagnosed with lung cancer have worse outcomes compared to white Americans.
People of color have lower survival rate, are less likely to be diagnosed early, are less likely to receive surgical treatment and more likely to receive no treatment at all. We hope that this symposium will raise awareness of issues related to lung cancer and health equity and arm participants with the tools to improve their clinical decision making.
Conference objectives include enhancing competencies in:
$75 MH faculty & APPs |
$100 Non-MH faculty & APPs |
Free for Trainees |
