Whether you’re juggling meetings, managing a household, or simply prefer the comfort of home, getting care shouldn’t mean rearranging your day. Virtual care brings the doctor’s office to you — wherever you are in Ohio. At MetroHealth, our virtual care services are designed to fit your life, not disrupt it. From same-day visits to ongoing primary and behavioral health care, you can build a trusted relationship with a provider who’s just a click away.

What Virtual Care Options are Available?

At MetroHealth, we know that every patient’s needs and schedules are different. That’s why we offer virtual care as one of several ways to access high-quality health services. It’s a flexible option that allows you to get treated online at convenient times. And if you need additional support, we’ll seamlessly connect you to MetroHealth resources like in-person specialists or prescriptions delivered to your door. We’re giving you more control over how and when you receive care.

Virtual care options include:

  • Virtual Urgent Care
  • Same-Day Virtual Care
  • Scheduled Virtual Primary Care
  • Virtual Behavioral Health Care

Virtual care is just one way we’re making it easier to stay connected to your health, on your terms.

Virtual Urgent Care

These visits are for minor health problems that don’t need emergency care. You can choose the next available doctor or pick a time that works for you.

Good for:

  • Cough, cold or flu symptoms
  • COVID-19 concerns
  • Rashes
  • Sprains and strains

Ages: 6 and older

Hours: Every day, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

❗Virtual care is not for emergencies like chest pain, stroke symptoms, bad allergic reactions, serious injuries, or broken bones. For those, call 911 or go to the ER.

Same-Day Virtual Care

Need help today but it’s not an emergency? Same-day care is great for quick questions or refills.

Good for:

  • Ongoing symptoms
  • Questions about your health or medicine
  • Medication refills
  • Skin concerns

Ages: 6 and older

Hours: Every day, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Virtual Primary Care

Perfect for those looking to build a lasting relationship with a virtual primary care provider.  In a virtual primary care visit, you may:

  • Discuss overall health and medical history
  • Get advice on preventive care and recommended screenings
  • Talk about ongoing management of chronic conditions
  • Receive referrals to other care providers

Ages: 18 and older.

Hours: Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Virtual Integrated Behavioral Health

If your virtual primary care or virtual urgent care provider feels you could benefit from mental health support, they can refer you to MetroHealth’s virtual behavioral health services. This integrated approach makes it easier to access care that supports your emotional well-being—without needing a separate appointment or trip.

Virtual behavioral health services can provide:

  • Timely support for stress, anxiety, or depression, tobacco cessation and lifestyle management.
  • Skills-based therapy and group therapy sessions
  • A seamless connection between physical and mental health

Ages: 18 and older

Hours: Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Not for emergencies. If you or someone you know is thinking about suicide or hurting themselves, call 911, go to the ER, or contact the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988.

What Else Should You Know?

  • Your virtual care team works with your other doctors to keep your care connected.
