Spiritual care is an integral part of holistic care. At MetroHealth Spiritual Care Department Chaplains provide spiritual support to patients, families, and staff. Chaplains are part of the healthcare team. They are grounded in various religious traditions as clinically trained spiritual care providers. Chaplain’s support those of all faiths and those not comfortable with religious beliefs.

MetroHealth chaplains can accompany you through your hospital stay by listening with compassion and providing a calming presence. They can discuss your hopes and fears or other emotions you may have. And they can offer counseling through a period of confusion or pain, helping you to tap into your inner strength and ability to cope. Chaplains can anoint the sick and provide communion, prayers, and blessings.
