For patients whose income is at or below (0 percent to 100 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG) and meets all additional eligibility criteria, The MetroHealth System participates in Ohio’s Hospital Care Assurance Program (HCAP), with 100 percent reduction of the bill.

Bariatric Surgery is not eligible under the financial assistance or discount program because it is considered a weight loss program of choice in lieu of other weight loss alternatives.  Bariatric Surgery, and related services necessary for this procedure are excluded from MHS Financial Assistance Policy (FAP). Visit our Bariatrics page for a complete explanation of Bariatric procedures and financial requirements/estimates.
