At The MetroHealth System, we believe every child deserves the most advanced, compassionate care and the chance to live a full and active life. That’s what our pediatric orthopedic team delivers to children and families in Northeast Ohio.
Whether your child has a common fracture, a sports injury, or a complex spine or limb condition, we offer both surgical and nonsurgical solutions tailored to their unique needs.
Our board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic doctors lead a team that includes therapists, trainers and a board-certified physician assistant. Together, they deliver seamless care from diagnosis through recovery.
Our orthopedic surgeons were trained at the top pediatric orthopedic fellowships in the nation. Every member of our team is dedicated to our region, and they love helping Cleveland-area kids overcome musculoskeletal challenges, injuries or deformities so that they can thrive and reach their greatest potential.
Our areas of expertise include the following Centers of Pediatric Orthopedic Excellence:

If your child has a sports injury or accident that requires immediate care in the MetroHealth Emergency Department, you can see our pediatric orthopedics team for follow-up care within 24 to 48 hours for a definitive treatment plan.
Your child will receive the most advanced care from a team that prioritizes restoring health and wellness, as well as making kids feel valued and cared for.
From the first visit, you can expect a thorough evaluation and a clear path forward. The treatment plan we offer will be rooted in clinical evidence and aligned with your child’s goals and future—whether that’s returning to the field on a scholarship or regaining everyday abilities.
Engaging the families of our young patients in treatment decisions is a key part of this process.

- Bracing.
- Casting.
- Physical therapy.
Should surgery be the ideal option for your child, our highly skilled team is here to deliver cutting-edge procedures. They often use minimally invasive techniques when they’re the best fit.
Our comprehensive surgical services include:
- ACL reconstruction with growth plate-sparing techniques.
- Meniscus repair.
- Cartilage preservation and repair.
- Knee and shoulder instability repair.
- Limb lengthening and angular correction.
- Surgical management of developmental dysplasia of the hip.
- Open fracture repair.
- Spine deformity surgery with our unique dual-surgeon model.
A diverse team of physical and occupational therapists and athletic trainers care for children who need rehabilitation services after surgery.
Our pediatric orthopedic specialists work closely with these rehab professionals to get kids back to their best level of function and healing.
