When to Be Concerned
If you experience a sudden severe headache, the worst headache of your life, it is important to be evaluated immediately in the Emergency Department as such a headache may be a sign of a stroke. Call 911.

Botox Specialists in Neurology
Sarah Demko, APRN-CNP has been with MetroHealth since 2018. She received her BSN and MSN from Kent State University, and holds her national certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of both the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and also the American Epilepsy Society (AES). A major focus of her clinic practice is managing the care of patients with epilepsy.
She has been trained in the management and programming of the vagus nerve neurostimulation device for patients with refractory epilepsy. Sarah also has clinical interest in the treatment of migraines with botox and holds specific clinics to help migraine sufferers.
Rikki Johnson is a board-certified Adult and Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who has a strong foundation in general neurology but also specializes in stroke, vascular neurology, and botox therapy for migraines. She has been with MetroHealth since 2015. Her extensive nursing background includes general neurology, neurosurgery, and emergency medicine.
She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. She holds her national board certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN).
