Walter B. Jones, Jr. Scholars Endowment

To honor the memory and legacy of esteemed colleague Walter B. Jones, Jr., The MetroHealth System in partnership with the Jones family and United Negro College Fund of Cleveland has established the Walter B. Jones, Jr. Scholars Endowment.

As Senior Vice President of Transformation at The MetroHealth System, Walter had a tremendous impact on the MetroHealth community. He joined the system in 2014 and went on to lead the design, construction and opening of The Glick Center, MetroHealth’s 800,000,000 square foot hospital building that stands as a lasting tribute to his vision, leadership and commitment to excellence. He passed away in 2023.

Walter believed in the future of high school students pursuing careers in architecture, construction and engineering and the contributions they will make to the field.

With the support of The Walter B. Jones, Jr. Scholars Endowment, more students will have the opportunity to build upon the foundation Walter laid.
