Postdoctoral Scholar, Case Western Reserve University / MetroHealth
How do we know if statistical methods are truly accurate and reliable? This presentation introduces two new tools—Bhirkuti’s Test of Bias Acceptance (BTBA) and Bhirkuti’s Simulation Score (BSS)—designed to make simulation results easier to compare and interpret. Learn how these approaches can help researchers better evaluate methods used in patient and population health research.
Aneel Bhusal, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Scholar at Case Western Reserve University working with MetroHealth. His research focuses on quantitative methodology, including structural equation modeling, longitudinal modeling, Monte Carlo simulation, missing data, psychometrics, and the development and evaluation of statistical methods. He has collaborated on research with investigators from multiple universities and institutions in the United States and internationally. He received his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, with a concentration in Research, Evaluation, Measurement, and Statistics, in 2024 under the mentorship of Professor Todd D. Little. He also holds an M.S. in Applied Statistics and Decision Analytics from Western Illinois University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems from Kathmandu University.
