This presentation draws on over a decade of evaluation research examining strategies used to support community-engaged research in Cleveland. Drawing on NIH-funded initiatives that led to the creation of the Community-Based Research Network (CBRN) and provided pilot awards to early-stage investigators which incorporated the CBRN, the presentation highlights the critical role of infrastructure in sustaining community-engaged research. The presentation will discuss lessons learned regarding how pilot funding, mentoring, partnerships, and network-based supports can shape research capacity, sustainability, and academic–community collaboration for early-stage investigators.
Speaker will present in person in Rammelkamp R219.
