About Me
I am a trauma anesthesiologist and clinical informaticist specializing in perioperative systems design and acute care workflow optimization. With formal training in computer science prior to medicine, I approach healthcare delivery as an integrated, high-reliability system grounded in deliberate architecture, data transparency, and disciplined workflow design.
I have led enterprise-level initiatives embedding critical preoperative workflows within surgical ordering pathways, redesigning Pre-Admission Testing to reduce downstream variability, strengthening perioperative documentation and charge integrity, and developing operational dashboards to improve OR throughput. His work aligns clinical workflow design with financial performance, quality metrics, and frontline usability.
My broader focus includes perioperative data architecture, predictive analytics in acute care environments, applied AI, and modernization of the Perioperative Surgical Home model.
I serve on the American Society of Anesthesiologists’ Committee on Informatics and Information Technology (CIIT), contributing to national strategy around perioperative data standards and informatics integration within anesthesiology.
