About Me
I chose Colorectal Surgery because of the breadth of disease and patients I can treat. I treat men, women, older and younger adults, cancer and benign diseases. I get to perform "big" cases and "small" cases. I do minimally invasive surgery and "maximally invasive" surgery. I get to care for lots of people in lots of ways.
I think what's most rewarding is that colorectal and anal cancer is preventable - and when caught early, they can be cured! I meet a lot of people who are scared and looking for answers and my goal is to make sure they feel safe and well-cared for.
I also care for very sensitive areas of the body and enjoy normalizing issues patients have that they fear are unique to them or "abnormal."
My favorite thing about my job is making people feel better - which usually means they are happier and healthier.
