For many people, participation in outpatient rehabilitation is an important part of their continued recovery. At MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute, we offer outpatient programs that are multidisciplinary in nature. Our physical medicine and rehabilitation providers, along with specialists from orthopaedics, neurosurgery and neurology, work to provide the right diagnosis and treatment plan for each patient.

The Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) residency at the MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute and the Department of PM&R at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine was established in 1958 and is one of the oldest PM&R training programs in the nation. However, it’s our commitment to connect the latest research to real life, making advances in medicine available to every person through our system’s focus on health equity, that makes MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute an exciting place to learn.
