Sports Medicine Care That’s Centered on What’s Unique About You

Some of our patients are weekend warriors or people with physically demanding jobs. Others are elite athletes. We offer everyone the same high level of sports medicine care—tailored to their unique needs. That starts with taking the time to know our patients and what matters to them. We want our patients to feel supported and connected to our care. We’re dedicated to making a difference in their athletic journeys.

Recovering from a sports injury often starts with conservative treatments—surgery may never be needed. Our team will create a personalized treatment plan that best fits your needs. Depending on the type of injury and other factors, options may include:

  • Sports rehabilitation. We provide physical therapy services to help restore your movement and function.
  • Injection therapy. We offer both traditional options (like inflammatory injections) and regenerative procedures (like platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, injections) for the treatment of muscle, ligament and joint injuries. Other options may include nerve blocks, prolotherapy cartilage injections or dry needling.
  • Concussion care. Traumatic brain injury and safe return to play is a serious concern for athletes of all ages. Our specially trained physiatrists work closely with neuropsychologists and speech, physical and occupational therapists to evaluate and treat concussions. For decades, we have been providing individualized treatment to promote healing and avoid further injury in people with concussions.

Whenever possible, we manage sports-related issues without surgery. But if that’s not possible, you have access to a wide array of procedures, performed by experienced orthopedic surgeons.

Our surgeons employ the latest techniques, such as the use of advanced imaging, presurgical planning and specialized tools. The team also uses minimally invasive arthroscopic and endoscopic approaches to speed your recovery.

Here are some of the surgeries and procedures we perform:

  • ACL and meniscus repairs.
  • Rotator cuff repairs.
  • Hip preservation procedures.
  • Arthroscopic procedures for the knee, shoulder, and hip.
  • Limb deformity correction with cartilage preservation.

All surgeries are paired with a personalized rehabilitation program, provided by sports-focused therapists.

Our sports medicine experts serve as athletic trainers and physicians at sports events throughout Greater Cleveland.

We’re out in the field, providing care to athletes where they play, including the following high school, college, and professional teams:
