- Arthritis, including basal thumb arthritis.
- Carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel syndrome.
- Dupuytren contracture.
- Injuries like fractures and lacerations (long, deep cuts). Our team handles these injuries as a Level 1 Adult Trauma Center and our surgeons have the expertise to repair or re-attach hand/ arm

Our hand and wrist team excels at providing care that is personalized to you.
We take the time to learn about your lifestyle, work and hobbies to tailor your treatment plan around what’s important to you. For example, if you need surgery but it’s a busy time for you, we might suggest a nonsurgical approach for now and plan a procedure for a time that fits better with your routine.
We believe that health care should be easy to navigate. That’s why we work to make it as simple as possible for you to get the specialized care our team offers.
Surgery Isn't Always Required
In many cases, the right first treatment for a hand or wrist issue is a nonsurgical one to improve your pain and function.
Our non-surgical hand and wrist treatments include:
- Anti-inflammatory medications.
- Custom or prefabricated splints.
- Joint, tendon or nerve injections to relieve pain and inflammation. Our experts are specially trained to precisely place the injections.
- Physical and occupational therapy, which may include teaching you special exercises and stretches for your hand. We have a team of hand therapists who are occupational therapists with specialized training in treating conditions of the upper extremities. We often connect you with one of these experts on the same day as your appointment with a hand and wrist doctor.
Leading Orthopedic Surgical Care. When You Need It.
If surgery is the right choice for you, many options are available. Our hand and wrist surgeons are highly skilled at both traditional and advanced techniques, such as arthroscopy (using small incisions and a video camera).
Here are some of the procedures our hand and wrist doctors perform:
- Carpal tunnel release.
- Flexor tendon and nerve repair.
- Trigger finger release.
- Finger joint replacement or fusions for arthritis pain.
- Motion-sparing partial wrist fusion or joint replacements for arthritis pain.
- Fracture fixation for broken wrists/ fingers.
- Nerve or tendon transfer procedures to reanimate hand / arm muscles in patients with nerve injuries.
If you need help recovering from surgery or an injury, our highly skilled hand therapists are here to support you.
