We treat both common and complex foot and ankle conditions, including:
- Arthritis and other degenerative conditions.
- Charcot deformity and other conditions related to medical issues like diabetes and neuropathic fractures.
- Flatfeet.
- Hammertoes.
- Tendon issues and sports-related injuries.
- Traumatic injuries, such as those resulting from car crashes, falls and industrial accidents.
Our treatments include everything from conservative options to complex surgeries.
Nonsurgical care. We prioritize conservative care first, whenever possible. We might use options such as orthotics, bracing, shoe modifications and physical therapy.
Foot and ankle surgery. When surgery is needed, we offer a wide range of procedures using the latest techniques. Our foot and ankle surgeons perform ankle replacements, joint fusions, tendon and hammertoe repairs, bunion and deformity corrections, and flatfoot reconstruction, among other procedures.
As a Level I Trauma Center, we can handle complex traumatic injuries of the foot and ankle and offer limb-salvage techniques to avoid amputation. These techniques and approaches include bone grafting, external fixation, skin flaps and coordination with vascular and infectious disease specialists.
All of our orthopedic surgeons serve on the faculty of Case Western Reserve University, sharing their expertise through teaching and staying in the forefront of their field.
As clinical researchers, they also publish studies and share insights at prestigious national and international conferences. These research efforts often focus on advancing patient care, improving outcomes and surpassing national standards. Our foot and ankle experts are always looking for the best strategies to treat patients and restore their health and function.
