Application Requirements

Note: These internship opportunities are non-clinical.

  • Applications must be submitted through the MetroHealth Job Portal (use link below).
  • Current Resume required. Please include objectives section indicating internship goals and hospital departments of interest.
  • Materials should be submitted as a consolidated PDF file and attached to the job application where prompted.
  • Additional materials may be requested during the application and interviewing process.

Timeline

  • Applications will be accepted until March 20, 2026
  • After review of all completed applications, initial phone interviews will be conducted, followed by interviews with internship managers.
  • Final candidate selection will occur by April.
  • Internships will begin June 1, 2026 and end July 31, 2026 with potential opportunity for extensions based on intern schedule and business needs.

Qualifications/Key Attributes

  • Qualified candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program. Prior healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Candidates should have a strong interest in hospital administration and management, clinical practice management, clinical research and education, hospital administration and management, finance, human resources and organizational development, information systems, or managed care.
  • Candidates must be collaborative, motivated, and a quick study. Individuals must possess a high degree of analytic ability, effective communication skills, be able to manage multiple priorities and pivot from one assignment to the next with ease, and be driven by personal values that are consistent with the System’s values.
