Blueberry Overnight Oats

Busy mornings can make it hard to eat breakfast. These creamy overnight oats are easy to make the night before, so breakfast is ready when you wake up.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: chill overnight
Servings: 1
Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats (quick oats work best)
  • 1/3 cup low-fat milk or plant-based milk
  • 1/3 cup vanilla Greek yogurt*
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed or chopped walnuts

For less sugar, use plain Greek yogurt or a no-sugar-added vanilla yogurt. This can help keep the meal lower in carbohydrates while still tasting great.

Directions

  1. Put the oats in a bowl or container with a lid.
  2. Pour in the milk and add the yogurt.
  3. Sprinkle the cinnamon on top.
  4. Add the blueberries.
  5. Cover and place in the refrigerator overnight.
  6. In the morning, add flaxseed or nuts if you like.
  7. Enjoy cold, or warm in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
