The Benjamin S. Gerson Family Resource Center was dedicated in 2004, thanks to the generosity of Mr. Gerson's children. Mr. Gerson was diagnosed with polio in 1953, and received care at MetroHealth Medical Center. He felt this care allowed him to return to a productive life after his diagnosis, and his children chose to honor his recovery by opening the center.
Here, we help people like Mr. Gerson who have experienced a life-altering illness or trauma. We keep track of educational information, support services and community agencies that provide disability services in greater Cleveland. Visiting with people who know exactly what you're going through can be helpful and empowering. The Benjamin S.
