Eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables (FV) is necessary to prevent and in some cases treat chronic diseases. Yet few Americans consume the recommended amount of FVs per day due to a range of barriers. Produce Prescription programs have demonstrated positive benefits, yet its reach and effectiveness among low resource patients remain low. In summer 2025, we partnered with 13 primary care practices and seven farmers markets to provide FV coupons, nutrition education and a farmers’ market mobile app to Medicaid, Medicare and uninsured patients. This presentation will highlight our approach, the reach and uptake of the program, and lessons from this rapid PRx program.
