About Me
I’m a psychologist specializing in integrated care, and I’ve been part of the MetroHealth team since 2011. I work closely with medical providers to support both the physical and emotional health of my patients—because I believe treating the whole person leads to better outcomes and a better experience.
I completed my graduate training at Emory University and earned my Ph.D. from Walden University, followed by residency in Behavioral Pediatrics at University Hospitals of Cleveland. I also serve as an Instructor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
My clinical interests include behavioral medicine, chronic illness management, and helping patients make meaningful lifestyle changes. I use evidence-based approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness to support patients with conditions like diabetes, chronic pain, and hypertension.
Whether you’re navigating a new diagnosis or working toward long-term wellness, I’m here to listen, support, and help you take steps toward better health—both physically and emotionally.
My research interests center on the intersection of behavioral health and chronic disease management. I’m particularly interested in how brief, evidence-based psychological interventions can be integrated into primary care to improve outcomes for conditions such as diabetes, chronic pain, and cardiovascular disease. I focus on topics like health behavior change, treatment adherence, and the impact of stress and emotion regulation on physical health. I’m also interested in implementation science—studying how to effectively deliver behavioral interventions within fast-paced medical settings to maximize accessibility, efficiency, and equity in care delivery across diverse patient populations.
