About Me
Hi, I’m Dr. Shah, a board-certified endocrinologist with a special interest in endocrine conditions related to pregnancy, telehealth, and medical education. I’m passionate about providing personalized, patient-centered care and supporting people through complex, often lifelong health journeys.
What I love most about endocrinology is the chance to build long-term relationships with my patients. I take time to listen, tailor treatments to each individual, and stay by your side as a consistent partner in your care. One of the greatest joys in my work is caring for entire families over time—it’s a privilege to earn that kind of trust.
I’m also deeply committed to teaching and mentoring the next generation of physicians. I believe that education and compassionate care go hand in hand, and I strive to model both in every interaction.
Through my work in telehealth, I’ve helped expand access to high-quality endocrine care, especially for patients in underserved communities. Whether I’m guiding someone through a pregnancy-related hormone issue, teaching at the bedside, or connecting virtually, my goal is always the same: to bring warmth, expertise, and dedication to every patient I meet.
Dr. Shah’s research in medical education focuses on enhancing learning through innovative, learner-centered approaches. She is particularly interested in how clinical reasoning, evidence-based practice, and professional identity are shaped through nontraditional formats.
To support this work, Dr. Shah founded a medical podcast club, an interactive forum where trainees engage with current medical podcasts and discuss key topics in endocrinology, health disparities, and professional development. The club promotes active listening, critical thinking, and low-barrier access to continuing education, meeting learners where they are—often during commutes or between clinical duties.
Her educational scholarship includes developing structured, case-based learning experiences, integrating telehealth training into endocrine education, and exploring how informal learning tools like podcasts can supplement traditional curricula. She is particularly passionate about making education more accessible, engaging, and reflective of real-world practice.
Dr. Shah regularly collaborates with faculty and trainees to assess and improve educational programs and enjoys mentoring fellows in both clinical care and academic development.
