About Me
I grew up in Geauga County, right here in Northeastern Ohio, and I’m proud to be a first-generation college graduate. After completing medical school at The Ohio State University, I trained in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Emory University in Atlanta. In 2012, I returned home to join the team at MetroHealth, where I’ve been caring for patients ever since.
My clinical focus is on treating individuals with HIV and viral hepatitis (Hepatitis B and C). I believe in providing care that is supportive, collaborative, and free of judgment or stigma. Every patient deserves to feel safe, respected, and empowered in their health journey.
In addition to patient care, I’m passionate about medical education and research. I serve as a Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and lead our Division of Infectious Diseases. I work closely with students, residents, and colleagues to advance knowledge and improve care for people living with HIV and hepatitis.
Outside of work, I’m an avid reader, a devoted cat person, and someone who loves to travel and spend time with family. It’s an honor to care for this community and be part of each patient’s story.
