Dr. Marc Winkelman was born in Detroit, MI. He received his BA from Amherst College and MD from the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

He completed his Neurology Residency at Case Western Reserve University (MetroHealth Medical Ctr) and Neuropathology Fellowship at Harvard Medical School.

He returned to the MetroHealth Department of Neurology after completing his training in 1983. His clinical interests are general neurology and neuromuscular diseases

Dr. Winkelman was very thorough throughout both of my appointments with him. He ensured that he had all necessary information regarding my health issues and was able to make educated conclusions as to what my next steps should be to work towards relief.

Well, I would tell my friends and family that this provides a very compassionate attitude, great bedside manner, and very knowledgeable of the disorder and my history. And of each appointment, prior to the appointment that I'm at, that I go to for references to the new appointment.

Very sincere and patient. Was fairly casual like talking with a family friend. Additional orders I needed were placed quickly, gave a lot of detailed information. Very transparent and factual.

Dr. Winkelman is a great listener to my concerns, and does not rush his appts. He really values me as a person, and discusses different treatment options and recommendations. In the 30 + years I've been seeing him, there is only one instance I waited 20 minutes due to someone having an urgent matter. He had the nurse come to me to let me know he was running a bit late. Usually he takes me back early.
