About Me
I’m a gastroenterologist at MetroHealth. I chose medicine to practice cura personalis—caring for the health of the whole person—which has guided me since my time at Georgetown University School of Medicine. I truly value the long-term relationships I build with my patients and believe that understanding their full story helps me provide better care.
After completing my residency in Internal Medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, I joined MetroHealth, where I’ve spent my entire career in Gastroenterology. I specialize in treating a wide range of digestive issues, including inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
I’m also deeply committed to medical education and currently serve as the Program Director for the Gastroenterology Fellowship at MetroHealth Medical Center and Case Western Reserve University. I believe in MetroHealth’s mission to deliver high-quality care to our community, and I’m proud to be part of that work every day.
Dr. Landsman performed Metrohealth’s first artificial intelligence device assisted colonoscopy. This was part of a multi-center international clinical trial for which he was a principal investigator. Dr. Landsman has given local, regional, and national talks on several gastrointestinal topics as well as his research. He is involved in his department’s quality improvement practices. He has been productive in clinical research, having published research in inflammatory bowel disease, artificial intelligence, colon cancer screening, ergonomics in the field of gastroenterology, and biochemistry.
