About Me
As Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology at MetroHealth and Medical Director of Perioperative Services, I’m committed to delivering safe, high-quality care and ensuring every patient feels supported throughout their surgical experience. I also serve as a Professor of Anesthesiology at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine, where I help train and mentor future physicians.
Before joining MetroHealth in 2021, I spent nearly 15 years at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. That time deepened my passion for clinical excellence and academic leadership. Today, I oversee our Anesthesiology Residency Program and work closely with residents and trainees to foster a culture of learning and compassion.
Patient safety is at the heart of my work. I’ve served on the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Committee on Patient Safety and published extensively on improving outcomes. I’m also a full examiner for the American Board of Anesthesiology and a Councilor for the American Association of Anesthesiology Chairs.
I earned my undergraduate degree from Harvard University, my MD from CWRU School of Medicine, and completed residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. I also hold a Master of Public Health from the University of Florida. Outside of medicine, I serve as President of the CWRU School of Medicine Alumni Board and sit on the Board of the Harvard Alumni Club of Northeast Ohio. I’m proud to combine leadership, education, and patient care to make a meaningful impact every day.
