Dr. Kitagawa is very helpful when it comes to the complicated nature of gynecology with people who do not identify as female, like trans men, people that are on hormone replacement therapy and testosterone. He is very attentive to the specific needs of trans clients and what they need, and he has always been very respectful and kind of tried to diffuse the situations that may be uncomfortable for a trans man going to a gynecologist. I have always felt very comfortable bringing up issues to him that with other gynecologists I've had previously. They either didn't understand or just were not respectful to different gender identities. So he has always been very aware and conscious of how to go about trans gynecology.
