About Me

She earned her medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) and completed her neurology residency at Geisinger Health System in Pennsylvania. She then pursued advanced subspecialty training through a two-year fellowship in movement disorders at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC).
Dr. Bender cares for patients with conditions that affect movement, whether causing too much movement or too little. These include Parkinson’s disease and other parkinsonian conditions, essential tremor, dystonia, hemifacial spasm, blepharospasm, Huntington’s disease, and medication-induced movement disorders, among others.
She is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care and takes time to understand each patient’s individual symptoms, concerns, and goals to develop personalized treatment plans.
