About Me
I believe in a comprehensive, patient-centered and continuous care philosophy. This includes caring for patients’ physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Trained in a traditional family medicine residency, I practiced full-spectrum family medicine, caring for patients from birth to end-of-life for the last 5 years. As primary care provider that has worked in multiple hospital systems, it became increasingly apparent to me that physicians should play a critical role in the evolving health information technology landscape. Who better to bridge the gap between technology and medicine than the professionals who are end users and at the front line of healthcare delivery? Optimizing clinical workflows, reducing provider administrative burden, maximizing time spent with patients, and utilizing technology to find innovative ways to deliver healthcare to patients can be a transformative experience. This led me to shift gears and pursue a clinical informatics fellowship in hopes to augment my career in primary care. I strongly believe that empowering providers, patients and communities with education and innovative tools is an integral part of providing quality medical care.
