Dr. Einstadter is a general internist, Professor of Medicine, and Population and Quantitative Health Sciences at CWRU, and a member of the CWRU Center for Health Care Research and Policy within the Population health Research Institute located at The MetroHealth System. His research work focuses on the manipulation and analysis of large administrative databases in clinical epidemiology and health services research. He is actively involved in numerous funded research projects, providing methodologic support as well as managing the extraction and analysis of data from the EHR at MetroHealth (Epic). He also provides data for Better Health Partnership, a regional quality improvement collaborative in Northeast Ohio. Dr. Einstadter serves as a member of the design team and provides data and analyses for a statewide quality improvement collaborative to improve care for persons with hypertension and diabetes which is funded by the Ohio Department of Medicaid. Dr. Einstadter is an expert SAS and SQL programmer and has over 20 years of experience working with The MetroHealth System’s clinical electronic health records (Epic) and the associated clinical reporting database (Clarity). He is also experienced in the use of ArcGIS software to perform spatial analyses, geocode addresses and link the results to the US Census, American Community Survey and other spatial data sources.
