About Me
Dr. Emerman has been the Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Metrohealth/Case Western Reserve University since 2002. Prior to that time he served as Director of the Department. Dr. Emerman was the founding program director for the Emergency Medicine residency program.
Dr. Emerman was in the inaugural group of physicians board certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He has been an active participant in the initiation of medication assisted therapy in the emergency department. Dr. Emerman has over 130 publications, mostly in the area of heart failure, asthma, and COPD treatment.
