About Me

Joined MetroHealth: 2019
Academic Affiliations: Associate Professor, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine

I’m a trauma and acute care surgeon at MetroHealth and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Case Western Reserve University. I joined MetroHealth in 2019 and currently serve as Director of Emergency General Surgery, Medical Director of our Advanced Practice Provider fellowship, and Process Improvement Champion for the Department of Surgery.

I earned my medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, completed my general surgery training at Loyola University Medical Center, and went on to complete a fellowship in surgical critical care at UT Southwestern and Parkland Memorial Hospital.

I care for patients who often arrive at the hospital unexpectedly—whether due to injury or emergency surgery needs. I find deep purpose in helping patients and their families navigate these difficult moments with compassion and clarity. Outside of the operating room, I focus on improving the quality of care through research and developing clinical guidelines.

She did a great job of explaining, questioning, and considering my needs!

Dr Lasinski is an excellent provider. She took great care of me from surgery and recovery to post op appointment. She is thorough as well as patient and affable. I was surprised at the amount of time she spent with me answering questions at my post op appointment. She did not rush and asked my opinion on future needs for appointments going forward. Too bad she's not a GP or primary care provider.

She's great, understanding and caring.
