About Me
Akash Naik, MD, is a board certified and fellowship trained Head & Neck Surgical Oncologist. He specializes in head and neck cancer, microvascular reconstructive surgery, and transoral robotic surgery. He provides care and expertise for patients with benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck involving the mouth, throat, voice box, sinuses, skin, thyroid/parathyroid, and salivary glands. He also performs surgery for patients with sleep apnea including Inspire.
His aim is to provide comprehensive and personalized care to help patients achieve the best possible outcome and improve their quality of life. He understands the importance of a patient-centered and multidisciplinary approach in order to deliver the highest quality oncologic care.
Dr. Naik’s clinical research interests include optimizing surgical outcomes and quality improvement for head and neck cancer patients as well as reducing healthcare disparities among this patient population. He is also invested in medical student education and resident surgical training including core curriculum development as a member of the Head & Neck Surgery Education Committee for the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He currently serves as an active committee member of American Head and Neck Society and reviewer for multiple national journals.
