MetroHealth to Stream and Archive Board of Trustees Meetings on YouTube
Published on 01/14/2025
The MetroHealth System announced today that it will begin live-streaming and archiving video of its System Board of Trustees meetings on YouTube.
Previously, full-board and board-committee meetings had been open to the public both in-person and via a video-conferencing link. Starting in January 2025, all board and committee meetings will remain open to the public in person while also being streamed live on MetroHealth’s YouTube channel. Recordings of the live-streamed meetings will also be archived on the site starting in January 2025.
“MetroHealth has always closely followed Ohio’s open-meetings laws,” said MetroHealth President and CEO Christine Alexander-Rager, MD. “However, by live-streaming and archiving these meetings on YouTube, we are providing our community with an additional dimension of access and transparency.
“We are a public institution and have always welcomed our community and the media inside our boardroom for meetings of the full Board of Trustees and its committees,” Dr. Alexander said. “This move allows us to open these meetings to anyone, anytime, anywhere.”
The first meetings to be live-streamed and archived will be the Trustees’ Governance Committee and Facilities and Planning Committee meetings on January 15.
