Jonathan PressnellThe MetroHealth Foundation announced the election of Jonathan Pressnell as Chair of its Board of Directors, a decision made official during the Foundation Board’s annual meeting on May 29.

Jon has been a dedicated member of the Foundation Board since 2016, bringing nearly a decade of service, leadership and commitment to MetroHealth’s mission. Over the years, he has served on the Executive Committee, chaired the Finance and Investment Committee and contributed to several other key committees.

A partner at Blue Point Capital Group, Jon brings a wealth of board experience and community involvement to this role. He is also a founding member of Sidebar and a former board member of the Lakewood Ranger Education Foundation.

Jon’s connection to MetroHealth is deeply personal. His grandmother was treated for polio in an iron lung at City Hospital — now MetroHealth — an experience that left a lasting impression on his family and continues to inspire his commitment to the health system.

“That legacy of life-saving care and community service fuels my commitment as we look to the future,” Jon said. “I firmly believe that if we remain steadfastly focused on our core mission — delivering exceptional healthcare for all, advancing value-based approaches and meeting the evolving needs of our community — MetroHealth will continue to thrive and succeed in any environment.”

Jon was also a supporter of the For All of Us campaign, MetroHealth’s most ambitious philanthropic initiative to date. The campaign surpassed its $150 million goal, supporting transformative programs such as the Nurse-Family Partnership, School Health and Food as Medicine Programs, the MetroHealth Autism Assessment Clinic and the Institute for H.O.P.E.™

“As I take on this role, I do so with genuine humility and a profound sense of honor,” he said. “MetroHealth’s mission feels deeply personal to me, rooted in my own family’s history with this very institution. That history underscores the profound, generational impact that MetroHealth has had on countless families in our community, including my own.”

The Foundation is also pleased to welcome two new members to its Board of Directors — Dana Capers, Vice President of Community Impact at Fifth Third Bank, and Maureen Dee, who retired as Executive Director of the Catholic Charities Corporation.

The MetroHealth Foundation looks forward to this next chapter of leadership and collaboration in support of MetroHealth’s mission.
