The Future of Outpatient Care Begins Here
Published on 12/01/2025
The Outpatient Health Center is a bold step forward in our commitment to reimagine care. It’s designed to meet people where they are – with compassion, innovation and access. This is what the future of healthcare looks like.
The Outpatient Health Center is scheduled to open in Spring 2026.
MetroHealth’s vision for the future of healthcare is taking shape – right in the heart of Main Campus.
Scheduled to open in Spring 2026, the new six-story, 307,000-square-foot Outpatient Health Center (OPHC) adjacent to The Glick Center, represents a $224.3 million investment in access, innovation and whole-person care.
Designed with input from MetroHealth caregivers across disciplines, the OPHC reflects the system’s commitment to reimagining care – guided by the strategic priorities of MetroHealth 2030 and built to meet the evolving needs of the community.
A 24/7 drive-thru pharmacy, the first of its kind in the neighborhood, will help patients fill prescriptions quickly and safely – especially important for those with limited mobility or transportation.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR OUR PATIENTS
For patients, the OPHC is more than a new building – it’s a better way to experience care.
Instead of traveling to multiple locations for appointments, imaging, labs and follow-ups, patients will find everything they need under one roof. For example, Orthopaedics is located next to Imaging and Casting. The Center for Breast Health offers imaging, consultations and follow-up in one place. This thoughtful design reduces stress, saves time and improves continuity of care.
The OPHC also prioritizes comfort and dignity. Exam rooms are designed to serve every patient, regardless of need. Waiting areas are welcoming and accessible. And for those managing complex or chronic conditions, the streamlined layout makes it easier to stay on top of care plans and appointments. With connected parking just steps away, patients can access care with ease – reducing stress and making visits more convenient.

Care That’s Coordinated, Compassionate and Close to Home
When the OPHC opens in 2026, it will bring together a wide range of specialties and services, including:
- Cancer Care, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine and Surgical Specialties
- Neurology, Heart & Vascular, Theranostics and a Clinical Research Unit
- Ancillary services like Imaging, Casting, Occupational Therapy and Laboratory Services
This integrated model means patients won’t have to navigate a fragmented system. Instead, they’ll receive coordinated care from teams who communicate, collaborate and put the patient at the center of every decision.
The facility also includes dedicated teaching spaces, allowing physicians and nurses to care for patients while mentoring the next generation of caregivers – reinforcing MetroHealth’s role as a leader in education and innovation.
