Landing Zone Training

Metro Life Flight offers landing zone training to help prepare first responders to safely set-up an LZ for an emergency helicopter scene response. This presentation is eligible for EMS CE credit.

Lectures

Metro Life Flight offers free continuing education lectures, case reviews and will consider developing a specific topic to meet your educational needs for the purpose of improving outcomes in your community. MetroHealth Medical Center is an approved continuing education site by the State of Ohio Board of Emergency Services, Approval #1202.

Transport Observation Program

The Metro Life Flight Transport Observation Program (TOPS) is available to public safety, hospital, and pre-hospital care providers who utilize Metro Life Flight services. 

Fly with us for one eight-hour or twelve-hour day shift and learn about our program, critical care transport, and aircraft safety.

Who Can Observe

  • Public safety personnel (EMTs /Paramedics / Firefighters / Law Enforcement Officers / Dispatchers)
  • Medical personnel (Nurses / Physicians / Advanced Practice Providers)
  • We are not accepting students at this time.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Good physical health. No pregnant observers.
  • Weight must be less than 220 lbs (You will be weighed upon arrival to the base)
  • Must present photo ID and proof of current certification / licensure
  • Review the TOPS guidelines
