- 1st Annual Vascular Symposium 2020
Vascular surgery has historically been defined as a technically demanding surgical specialty that treats extremely ill patients. Late presentations of ischemic legs or abdominal aortic aneurysms create a milieu ripe for a bad result ie. - a death or an amputation.
Vascular surgery today is defined as a field that employs cutting edge technology to minimize the surgical trauma and get the best & safest possible result for vascular patients. By using a multidisciplinary approach to these complex patients- medicine, plastic surgery, podiatry etc- we can safely deliver less traumatic surgical care and give our wound care colleagues the best possible chance to heal.
