Endoscopic Surgery

Endoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgical technique that offers several advantages to patients: smaller or hidden incisions, less pain, shorter hospital stays and recovery time and reduced scarring. During endoscopic surgery, a surgeon uses a flexible tube with a small video camera to guide the surgery and can make small incisions within the gastrointestinal tract.

MetroHealth’s board-certified endoscopic surgeons are leaders in their field of endoscopic surgery and perform the most advanced techniques on adults and children. In many cases, MetroHealth’s specialists are the only surgeons in Northeast Ohio or the state of Ohio that perform these cutting-edge surgeries.
