Aamoth Family Pediatric Wellness Center

Description: Assist with nutrition and fitness classes for children.
Volunteers Needed: Weekdays
Commitment Required: 3 months
Minimum Age: 18

Child Life
Description: Interact with and provide activities for infants and children in a playroom and at the bedside.
Volunteers Needed: Weekdays 10 a.m. - Noon or 2 - 4 p.m.

Infant Comforter

Description: Provide nurturing support by holding and rocking infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Newborn Nursery.
Volunteers Needed: Weekdays and weekends
Commitment Required: 6 months
Minimum Age: 18

Loving Paws at MetroHealth
Description: Bring your dog to visit patients and families. Dogs must be certified through Therapy Dogs International or Pet Partners.
Volunteers Needed: Weekdays and weekends. One-hour shift.
Commitment Required: 6 months

Prentiss Center for Skilled Nursing Care
Reach Out and Read
Description: Read to young children in pediatric waiting areas. Demonstrate the importance that reading has in a child’s development.
Volunteers Needed: Weekdays for two-hour shifts between 10 a.m. - Noon or 1:30 - 4 p.m.
Commitment Required: 3 months
Minimum Age: 18

Reiki
Description: In MetroHealth’s Hands to Heart Reiki Clinic, qualified volunteers offer Reiki appointments to patients and employees in need of a healing touch. Learn more about Reiki at MetroHealth.

Description: Make music part of the healing process by sharing your vocal or instrumental talent with patients and visitors. A brief audition is required.
