- Inclusion and Diversity at MetroHealth
The Diversity Committee is part of the Board of Trustees and consists of 14 senior executive-level and external leaders. Their mission is to ensure a consistent, value-added focus on MetroHealth’s Inclusion, Diversity and Equality Strategic Plan.
MetroHealth has developed a Mentoring Program for employees as a way to enhance employees’ individual growth and on-the-job effectiveness. The purpose of the MetroHealth Mentoring Program is to serve and support employees by providing an avenue for professional development and personal growth, as well as assisting with the discovery towards career pathways and/or options.
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are volunteer, employee-managed groups that promote an area of interest with the overarching goal to add value to organizational initiatives and MetroHealth's mission and vision. An Employee Resource Group can be further defined as a group of employees who come together around common interests, issues, and backgrounds that exist to provide organizational support, networking, and professional development opportunities for its members. ERGs typically address a dimension of diversity but they are open to all MetroHealth employees. Read more about ERGs at MetroHealth.
